Die Musik von James Whitbourn ist bekannt für ihre kraftvolle Brillanz, die auch in seinem außergewöhnlichen Werk Son of God Mass für Chor, Saxophon und Orgel zum Tragen kommt, das auf der vorliegenden CD vom jungen Chor und einem der führenden Chor-Dirigenten Amerikas, James Jorden, neu eingespielt bzw. eingesungen wurde. Des Weiteren ist eine Auswahl von Weltersteinspielungen wie das Requiem canticorum und Living Voices zu hören. Letzte Komposition entstand auf der Grundlage eines Gedichtes von Andrew Motion zum Gedenken an die Opfer des 11. September 2001.
