Biografie (Maurice Sendak)
Maurice Sendak, geboren 1928 in Brooklyn, wuchs mit den Geschichten auf, die sein Vater aus dem Schtetl bei Warschau erzählte. Eigene Bilderbuch-Veröffentlichungen. Ausgezeichnet mit der Caldecott Medaille, 2003 erhielt er den Astrid Lindgren Gedächtnispreis. Maurice Sendak verstarb 2012.
