Biografie (Ron Koertge)
Ron Koertge, geboren 1940, lebt in South Pasadena, Kalifornien. Er begann als Student an der Universität von Illinois zu schreiben. Von 1965-2002 unterrichtete Koertge an einem College in Pasadena, alles möglich, wie er sagt, von Shakespeare, zu den Meisterwerken der modernen Literatur und auch Aufsatzlehre. »Ich begann mit dem Schreiben, weil es etwas war, in dem ich ziemlich gut war und in dem ich auch mit der Zeit und entsprechender Anstrengung besser werden konnte. Ich habe immer meine Grenzen gekannt: Ich war ein so-so-la-la Sportler, ein mittelmäßiger Musiker, sehe nur durchschnittlich aus, etc. Aber beim Schreiben hatte ich den Bogen raus.« Er hat Romane für Jugendliche und Erwachsene verfasst und ist Lyriker.
