Über vier LP-Seiten ist diese Compilation eine Hommage an das kleine Format, die 7"-Single. Seit 2016 hat der englische Pop-Musikjournalist Jon Savage vier Doppel-CD-Sampler kuratiert, die stilprägende Singles der Jahre 1965, 1966, 1967 und 1968 enthalten. Ace hat in Erwägung gezogen, diese Sampler jeweils auch als LP zu veröffentlichen, wobei das Format am Ende jeweils eine Triple-LP geworden wäre.
Nun hat man sich erstmal für ein Jahr pro LP-Seite entschieden, um das Beste aus den vier Jahres-Samplern zusammenzufassen. Die Innentaschen kommen mit bedruckten, ausführlichen und illustrierten Liner Notes zu jedem Track!
