Epic Soundtracks gehörte zu den legendären Typen der post-punkigen und alternativen Musikwelt. Mit seinem leider auch schon verstorbenen Bruder Nikki Sudden gründete er die Swell Maps, er spielte bei Red Krayola und dann wieder mit seinem Bruder bei The Jacobites. Schon seit 1985 war er Schlagzeuger bei Crime and the City Solution, mit denen er bis 1989 spielte, bevor er sich seiner Solokarriere widmete.
The first album by Epic Soundtracks formerly drummer in Swell Maps has been out of print for over 15 years and now has 8 bonus tracks of outtakes plus an entire extra discs of early versions. The album includes an array of guest musicians all of which were friends who'd popped by including J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr, Lee Renaldo of Sonic Youth, Rowland S Howard, Will Pepper of Thee Hypnotics, Martyn Casey from the Bad Seeds. The booklet features unpublished photos and memorabilia.
