2018 ist es 30 Jahre her seit der ersten Damaged Goods Veröffentlichung! Im Rahmen der Jubiläumsfeierlichkeiten veröffentlicht das Londoner Label diese Compilation mit einer Auswahl an Top-Tracks, verlorenen geglaubten Juwelen und persönlichen Favoriten der Label-Macher. Die Genres Punk-, Garage- und Indie-Rock sind gut vertreten, mit Künstlern wie Thee Headcoats, Holly Golightly, Johnny Moped, Manic Street Preachers, Cowbell, Pete Molinari, Fabienne Delsol, Thee Dagger Debs und vielen mehr!
Die Vergangenheit ist ein fremdes Land und das musikalische Klima hat sich seit 1988 stark verändert. Formate sind gekommen und gegangen und zurückgekehrt! Online, digitale und Streaming-Musik waren 1988 reine Science Fiction. Aber gute Musik ist, wie man so schön sagt, zeitlos. Mit bisher 500 Veröffentlichungen auf Damaged Goods war es schwierig, diesen Sampler auf zwei Vinylscheiben und zwei glänzende CDs zu reduzieren, aber das Ergebnis ist sehr befriedigend.
