Although Waylon Jennings is best known for his "outlaw" years, this album takes us back to Jennings' earliest recordings - before he (and Willie Nelson) began to rebel against the Nashville country establishment - in favour of sparser more bad boy image. Jennings owes his early success at least in part to Buddy Holly, who acted as his mentor up until his death and produced his very first single "Jole Blon" / "When Sin Stops" (included here). (Waylon was actually supposed to have been on the plane that killed Holly, but gave up his seat at the last minute). This compilation of obscure early work also includes covers of Roy Orbison's classic "Dream Baby" and Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright".[DUT]Track listing: 1. Burning Memories 2.
