It's hard to describe the effect Carrie Newcomer's singing has on me . . . like the soul of Mother Teresa and the sensibility of Mother Maybelle coming through the lips of Peggy Lee.' --Don Dixon 'Carrie Newcomer has such an incredible knack for finding the extraordinary in the 98 percent or more of life that is utterly ordinary. And when life's amazing two percent kicks in, Carrie captures that too. Her music is always tuneful, and Carrie's voice is a most amazing instrument, full of warmth and comfort and yet so steady and strong. Carrie Newcomer leaves tracks across the hearts of listeners -- those she's touched already, and those she's bound to touch with this disc. You are bearing witness, as she sings here, to a journey that's been well traveled.' --Marc D. Allan, from his liner notes
