Jazz-inspirierte Musik für Advent und Weihnachten mit zwei unterschiedliche Programmen des englischen Komponisten Will Todd (*1970), aufgeführt von den St Martin s Voices und dem Will Todd Ensemble unter der Leitung von Andrew Earis. Im Mittelpunkt steht The Promise, Todds drittes groß angelegtes Jazz-Oratorium, das vom Alumni-Chor der Soochow-Universität in Auftrag gegeben und im Dezember 2025 in Taiwan uraufgeführt wurde und in dem Texte zum Advent und zu Weihnachten neben einem Originaltext des Komponisten stehen. Das Album enthält zudem eine neue Aufnahme von Todds beliebten Jazz-Weihnachtslied-Bearbeitungen, die ursprünglich 2012 von St. Martin-in-the-Fields in Auftrag gegeben wurden und hier in überarbeiteten Fassungen mit St. Martin s Brass neu veröffentlicht werden.
