Luigi Marchesi (1754-1829) war nicht nur der Starkastrat in der 2. Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts, sondern auch ein versierter Komponist. Die Sopranistin Francesca Cassinari und Stile Galante widmen sich hier den 1788 bzw. 1789 in London veröffentlichten Arietten Opp. 1 & 2 mit Fortepiano- und Harfenbegleitung; musikalischen Schmuckstücken von erlesener Eleganz.
