Teresa McWhirter: Punk Rock Road Trip, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

This short, high-interest, low-reading-level book about a girl with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) who sneaks away to see her favorite punk band is an excellent choice for teen readers who are building reading skills, want a quick read or say they don't like to read!

Fifteen-year-old Sam tries not to let her arthritis get in the way of doing normal teenage things like playing drums, going to the beach and flirting with boys. Even though her symptoms have been flaring lately, she agrees to sneak off on a road trip with some friends, plus cute tagalong Jasper, to see their favorite band, The Monster Queens. They have the most incredible night, and Sam's even crushing a little bit on Jasper, but then things take a turn and they're left without anywhere to stay. Stranded in the city--and without access to Sam's medication--Sam and her friends must face the consequences of their rebellion.
