Jordan Janice: Servant of Aurum, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

Featuring a plucky teen and his grumpy bladesmith mentor on a quest to save their kingdom from monsters, Servant of Aurum is the first installment of a YA fantasy adventure duology filled with found family, banter, and thrilling battles.

A son of Ausmond never backs down.

Ever since his father died in the war against siraclese monsters, sixteen-year-old Aster determined he would join the fight. To kill siraclese, all soldiers wield aurum, an enchanted metal that changes colors and grants special abilities. But as a wielder of purple aurum, the least coveted type, Aster is considered unnecessary for the siraclese-slaying campaign.

After his latest attempt to join the army culminates in public humiliation, Aster seeks help from Master Whittaker, a reclusive bladesmith who may be able to mold him into the type of warrior his kingdom needs. Whittaker agrees to apprentice him, but only to satisfy a debt he owes Aster's father.

At first, Aster struggles through the apprenticeship, finding Whittaker ill-tempered and obsessed with crafting swords for reasons he refuses to share. But when the secrets of Whittaker's past turn out to have deadly consequences, both master and apprentice will have to overcome their differences to save the kingdom from a force as bloodthirsty as the invading monsters.
