Biografie (Graham Hancock)
Graham Hancock studierte an der Universität Durham Soziologie und arbeitete dann für große englische Zeitungen. 1981 publizierte er sein erstes Buch "Journey Through Pakistan". Er schrieb über Äthiopien und die gravierenden Probleme des afrikanischen Kontinents. Mit "The Sign and the Seal" (1992) UND "Fingerprints of the Gods" (1995) gelang ihm der Sprung auf die internationalen Bestsellerlisten. Zusammen mit seiner Frau, der Fotografin Santha Faiia, filmt und erforscht er Zeugnisse steinzeitlicher Kulturen, die durch den weltweiten Anstieg des Meeresspiegels am Ende der Eiszeit untergingen. "Underworld: A Quest for the City of Below" dokumentiert Tauchgänge in der Karibik und im Mittelmeer, vor den Küsten Japans, Indonesiens, Malaysias und Indiens. "Flooded Kingdoms of the Ice Age" (2002) hat als Buch und Fernsehfilm für Furore gesorgt.
