Anderson Fox: Alfie Green and the Ringwalker, Gebunden

Klappentext

There's one problem with Alfie Green's paperwork: it shouldn't exist.

Every elf in Northwood knows the Anchor Tree doesn't choose round-ears. And eight hundred years of records say the Tree's power burns blue in your veins. Only ever blue. But Alfie's veins burn white.

His dad might have known why, but he left ten years ago on a work trip and never came back. His mom says he was an accountant. The note hidden in his dad's old jacket talks about a mission. Alfie isn't an expert on accountants, but he's pretty sure they don't go on missions.

Five minutes to pack. One flying squirrel smuggled into his bag. Then Molesap Hall takes him. A place where the mail arrives by rabbit, a stone sword decides your future by blowing bubbles at you, and someone has been quietly bleeding the Anchor Tree's power dry.

Far below Alfie's feet, the draugots are following the thief's leak in the dark. Starving. Molesap says there are more of them than ever, and nobody knows why.

So Alfie asks. And the answer takes him and his friends deep into Molesap's secrets, the same ones that hold his dad.

But here's the second problem: Alfie's white light is easy for a draugot to see in the dark.

Perfect for fans of Amari and the Night Brothers and Percy Jackson.
