Biografie
Katherine Paterson wurde als Kind von Missionaren in China geboren; nach ihrer Ausbildungin China und in den USA lebte und studierte sie vier Jahre lang in Japan. Heute lebt sie mit ihrem Mann und ihren vier Kindern in Norfolk/Virginia. Ihre Jugendbücher wurden mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet. 2006 erhielt Katherine Paterson den "Astrid Lindgren Gedächtnispreis für Literatur".
