Hunter S Thompson: The Curse of Lono, Gebunden

Klappentext

The fully illustrated Gonzo classic from Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman, The Curse of Lonoblends satire, myth, and immersive reportage into a cult counterculture masterpiece---newly introduced by actress and director Natasha Lyonne.

Tasked with covering Hawaii's largest annual running event, the Honolulu Marathon, Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman quickly abandon conventional sports reporting. What begins as race coverage erupts into an odyssey of excess and an obssession with Lono, the Hawaiian god of rain and fertility.

As Thompson's reportage fractures into the surreal, Steadman's illustrations intensify their descent, transforming their time on the islands into a hallucinatory exploration of Hawaiian myth and dark Americana. The result is The Curse of Lono, a Gonzo classic of immersive journalism and illustrated nonfiction.
