Ein großes Werk aus Hommage und Original: Penny Rimbauds »Acts of Love« (1985) erscheint (als Reissue) zusammen mit Mikado Kokos »Songs To Our Other Selves« (2022) als grandioses Package via One Little Independent. Das Werk verzückt Fans schräger und abseitiger Klänge in Form einer limitierten Doppel-LP.
Nachdem er 1977 die anarchistische Band »Crass« mitgegründet hatte, sah sich der 1943 in London geborene Rimbaud 1985 veranlasst, sowohl die politischen als auch die persönlichen Wurzeln dessen zu erklären, was von der Presse und der Öffentlichkeit zunehmend als die »gewalttätige Wut« der Band angesehen wurde. Rimbaud komponiert die Musik mit Eve Libertine als Sängerin und Paul Ellis an den Keyboards. 2021 wandte sich die Avantgarde-Musikerin und Künstlerin Mikado Koko, die Libertines Gesang bewundert und eine große Vorliebe für »Acts of Love« hat, an Rimbaud mit der Idee, aus zwanzig Titeln des Albums ein Schwesteralbum mit dem Titel »Songs To Our Other Selves« zu machen. Dies ist ein völlig neues Album, von dem uns gesagt wird, dass wir es - zu Recht - als Fortsetzung des Originals betrachten sollen.
