»Kings of Metal« ist das sechste Album der amerikanischen Heavy-Metal-Band Manowar. Das Album war das letzte, auf dem Gitarrist und Gründungsmitglied Ross »The Boss« Friedman zu hören war. Im Jahr 2017 wurde es von Loudwire als das 13. beste Power-Metal-Album aller Zeiten eingestuft.
Hier stimmt einfach alles: die Songs, der Sound, die technische Leistung, die Verpackung - und nicht zuletzt auch die stilistische Ausgewogenheit. Vom tödlichen Uptempo-Nackenbrecher (»Wheels Of Fire«, »Blood Of The Kings«, »Hail And Kill«) bis zur dramatischen Ballade (»Heart Of Steel«) wird das gesamte metallische Spektrum abgegrast. Dass »Kings Of Metal« trotzdem ohne Abstriche ins Ziel einläuft, liegt u. a. an der Tatsache, dass die Band mit Eric Adams den besten Metal-Sänger aller Zeiten in ihren Reihen hat.
