Jason Ringenberg: Stand Tall auf LP

Als Leader von JASON & THE SCORCHERS feierte JASON RINGENBERG bereits in den 1980er Jahren große Erfolge und wurde vom Rolling Stone für das Album »Ferver« geadelt: »singlehandedly rewrote the history of rock n roll in the South«. Auch als FARMER JASON war der Musiker nicht weniger erfolgreich und sein Kinderprogramm bekam sogar mehrfache Emmy-Nominierungen.

Seit den 90er Jahren ist RINGENBERG auch als Solokünstler unter seinem eigenen Namen aktiv und veröffentlichte bisher fünf Alben. »Stand tall« ist sein neuestes Werk (immerhin 15 Jahre nach seinem letzten Soloalbum) und spielt die Stärken des Musikers voll aus. To record the album, Ringenberg return to his old haunts in the backwoods of Southern Illinois. He had the core rhythm section from his first rock band, Shakespeare's Riot, hunkered down in a studiowith a tin toof and a rural soul. That down-home environment gave Ringenberg the freedom to dig deep into his musical heritage. Fleshing out the sound, Ringenbberg enlisted the help of some Nashville's finest Americana musicians, such as Richard Bennett (producer of Steve Earle's Guitar Town), Fats Kaplan (Jack White'sbands), Steve Fishell (Emmylou's Hot Bans) and Robert Bowlin (fiddle player for Bill Monroe). »Gabba, gabby, hey!« - Ramones!
