Product Information:
“Bold As Brass” finds Cliff Richard recording a complete album of standards with an American swing orchestra for the first time in his long career. Over the years Cliff has occasionally included standards and swing tracks on his albums, but this is the first to consist solely of this material. And now, in celebration of his 70th birthday, Cliff is staging a one-off series of concerts at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall, based on the “Bold As Brass” album and featuring a full swing orchestra, backing singers and some of the Nashville musicians who performed on the album, under the baton of Michael Omartian, the album’s producer.
The set list includes many of the tracks from the album, and a selection of Cliff’s hits performed in a swing style. The show emphasizes Cliff’s versatility, vocal skills and style and this Blu-ray is a must-have addition to the collection of any Cliff Richard fan.
Rezensionen
(audio, 03 / 2011)
