Homer von Homer & Jethro erzählte Chet Atkins von Boots Randolph, und Chet nahm ihn unter Vertrag. Ein Saxophon-Spieler hatte in Nashville eigentlich nie genug zu tun. Doch Boots kam in die Stadt und begann, für RCA Victor aufzunehmen. Einer der Titel, die er einspielte, war die Originalversion seines Markenzeichens 'Yakety Sax'. Diese CD enthält alle seine RCA-Aufnahmen aus den späten Fünfziger- und frühen Sechzigerjahren wie 'Big Daddy', 'Percolator', 'Hey Elvis', 'Red Light', 'Sleep Walk', 'So Rare' und 'Bongo Band'.
