Zwischen dem 17. und dem 25. Mai 1962 kehrte »The Genius« Ray Charles für eine Reihe von Konzerten nach Paris zurück. Er war auf dem Gipfel seines Schaffens angekommen und führte seine Big Band an , die von den Raelets mit einer umwerfenden Margie Hendrix begleitet wurden. Dieses 3 CD Set wurde von Joël Dufour mit der Hilfe von Michel Brillié und Gilles Pétard zusammengestellt und enthält 20 bislang unveröffentlichte Aufnahmen sowie 7 Bonus Tracks, die Aufnahmen beinhalten, die in Rays eigenem Studio aufgenommen wurden und ihn am Klavier mit seinen Lieblings-Musikerkollegen Percy Mayfield und Louis Jordan präsentieren. Und dieses Set hat mit »Blue Stone«, das nie im Studio aufgenommen wurde und bei dem Ray Alt-Saxophon spielt, noch ein absolutes Highlight zu bieten.
