Miles Dewey Davis (1926 - 1991) war ein amerikanischer Jazzmusiker (Trompeter, Flügelhornist, Komponist und Bandleader) der Extraklasse. 1945 spielte er an der Seite von Charlie Parker. In Parkers Band ersetzte Davis den genialen Dizzy Gillespie.
