Diese 5-CD-Sammlung enthält alle existierenden Live-Aufnahmen, die die Atomic-Band im Crescendo Club in Hollywood im Sommer 1958 gemacht hat, zum allerersten Mal in einer einzigen Ausgabe. Die Tonqualität ist im gesamten Set hervorragend. Dieses lange nicht verfügbare Material enthält erstaunliche erweiterte Live-Versionen vieler der mehrjährigen Hefti-Arrangements sowie eine Vielzahl von Songs, die zu dieser Zeit Teil des Repertoires des Orchesters waren. Als Bonus wurde der Soundtrack einer kompletten 17-minütigen TV-Show mit derselben Band hinzugefügt, entstanden, kurz bevor sie mit dem Crescendo-Engagement begann. Das umfassendes Booklet enthält detaillierte Informationen sowie ein seltenes Interview mit Count Basie, das während des Aufenthalts der Band im Crescendo in Down Beat veröffentlicht wurde.
