Das Tentet klingt wie eine veritable Big Band - dank der Arrangements und der stupenden Spieltechnik der 10 Musiker. Die Soli sind ebenfalls erste Güte, und so ist eine der wohl schönsten musikalischen Liebeserklärungen "to the ladies" entstanden!
Bebop lives! Thanks to the irresistible talent of pianist, composer and arranger Claus Raible (ex-student of Barry Harris, which explains a lot when listening) and the members of this tentet. The tentet sounds like a Big Band due to the arrangements but also due to the great performance of these 10 musicians. The solos are high class and alto player Brad Leali leads the band through the arrangments like there is no tomorrow.
To sum it up, this CD is a magnificent ‘dedication to the ladies’ and a real pleasure to listen to.
