Klappentext
What if you did not board the wrong train, but you had been thrown into it?
What if it takes you years to realize that the train you're thrown into by decisions of generations of ancestors is traveling in the wrong direction?
What if you find out that all your striving to realize your own dreams is null and void because Dietrich Bonhoeffer was right?
What if your decision to leave that train is a dangerous, even deadly fight, yet your desire overcomes the fear, you jump, you jump into a fight for freedom and against all odds, and you win?
In a cynical moment, you could think about your experience of a life in bondage, but all you knew about that bondage of a whole nation and how it originated was from studying history. Now, you can experience the way of a nation in bondage. What a unique opportunity. But only a cynic would think that.
About the author: Harald Zieger, raised behind the "Iron Curtain" and fully indoctrinated with communist ideology, was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party when his belief system was shattered by the confrontation with God's word. As a graduate engineer, he served at a navy base until he was expelled for publicly declaring his faith. After a ten-year fight with the almighty State Security Police (Stasi), he was able to leave what he calls one of the largest prisons on earth. Twenty years later, he realized his lifetime dream and immigrated to the United States, only to realize that he was again in a train heading in the wrong direction. Harald is married and has two children and eight grandchildren.
