Zac Bailes: Ruby James and Teddy Daycare, Gebunden

Klappentext

A gentle bedtime picture book about imagination, stuffed-animal friendship, empathy, and learning that the best kind of help begins with noticing. Some doors only open at bedtime. Ruby James is nearly ready for bed when she notices something unusual: a tiny cream-colored card slipping from the pocket of her beloved teddy bear. The invitation leads through a blue door into the Cozy Quarter, a moonlit Dreamland neighborhood, and to Teddy Daycare-a warm place where stuffed animals rest, play, snack, repair worn seams, and sometimes need nothing at all. Inside, Ruby meets Miss Mabel, the calm and capable caregiver, and Pip, a shy little bear trying hard to manage his backpack and find his place. As Ruby helps with cubbies, snacks, the nap room, missing things, the quiet corner, and story time, she begins to understand that caring for someone does not always mean fixing a problem. Sometimes helping means paying attention. Sometimes it means making space. Sometimes it means simply sitting close. With luminous full-page illustrations and a soothing nighttime palette, Ruby James and Teddy Daycare is a gentle bedtime picture book about imagination, treasured toys, empathy, kindness, and emotional awareness. Its reassuring story encourages young readers to notice what others need while honoring rest, quiet, and different ways of feeling comfortable. This warm read-aloud is ideal for children ages four to eight, including preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary readers. It is especially suited to bedtime routines, classroom conversations about kindness and feelings, library story times, and children who love teddy bears, magical doorways, cozy fantasy adventures, or treasured stuffed friends. A comforting first journey into Dreamland, Ruby James and Teddy Daycare reminds children and grown-ups that much is not always what needs doing-and that everyone deserves somewhere safe to rest.
