Wolfgang Schivelbusch, geboren 1941, Dr. phil., Habilitation, ist freier Autor und lebt seit 1973 in New York und in Berlin. Er ist Träger des Heinrich-Mann-Preises 2003 der Akademie der Künste zu Berlin.
