Together with Francis Coppola and George Lucas, Murch abandoned Hollywood in 1969 and moved to San Francisco to create the Zoetrope studio. Biografie
Walter Scott Murch, 1943 geboren in New York, ist Cutter, Sound-Designer, Regisseur und Drehbuchautor. Bei Filmen wie American Graffiti, den drei Teilen des Paten, der Unerträglichen Leichtigkeit des Seins, dem Englischen Patienten und dem Talentierten Mr. Ripley war er für Ton und Schnitt verantwortlich. Für seine Arbeit am Film Der Englische Patient wurde er mit dem British Academy Award ausgezeichnet, und für Apocalypse Now erhielt Murch den Oscar für den besten Sound.
