The Author

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Ahrens has been teaching at a private, state-recognized university of applied sciences in Germany since 2007. He heads the Bachelor's degree programs in Engineering & Management and International Engineering & Management, coordinates the department of engineering science and teaches Systems Engineering, Production and Quality Management, Logistics / Process Management and Project Management. Prior to this, he worked as a managing director in industry.
