Venkateshwara Temple at Ramenahalli is a Lord Venkateshwara Temple situated at Ramenahalli Mundaragi Taluk Gadag Dist. In the time of krutayuga it was a mini forest where its a pratiti that Lord Shri Rama with Lakshman came here when he was going to Sri Lanka. So its named as Ramanahalli. 250 years ago a black shila (stone) of Lord Shri Venkateshwara was found here. By that time the maharaja of Mrudagiri (Now called Mundaragi) built a temple around and it was given to Katti family for worshipping the god. and also they gave jahagir (land) for surviving of the family around the village. The village is 2 km distance form Mundaragi. The shila (stone) is a Ekashila murthy faced towards the east. It also has a speciality that at yugadi day the sun rays will directly fall onto the crown of Lord Venkateshwara.
