RENEGADES - A Time for War - A time for Peace is the prequel edition to my first novel, BREAKAWAY.

Renegades is the story of two brothers and follows their lives, adventures and careers from their early teenage years. Roger McConnell becomes an Air Force test pilot and Alan "Stormy" McConnell is the lead engineer for a major aircraft company. Fate and destiny brings them together for a very special and challenging project.

However, nothing in the flight testing program could have foreseen the delivery of a messianic message with a request to fly an unauthorized mission halfway round the world guided and executed by faith alone.

The brothers careers and interests track in close harmony but their faith and belief in God are miles apart. The message presents a personal challenge...and a second chance for all mankind.

A common thread in the novel is the existence of angels and the possibility of miracles. The well known American evangelist and ordained minister; Billy Graham defined angels as "messengers and guardians that minister to us personally." He further states "Many accounts in Scripture confirm that we are the subjects of their individual concern...We may not always be aware of the presence of the guardians with ministering spirits that are sent to help each of us...We can't always predict how or when they will appear. Often they may be our companions without our being aware of their presence.

But let me tell you, these are not just Sunday School Angels; they are also avengers who use God's great power to fulfill His will and judgement. Angels interfere in the affairs of nations. God often uses them to execute judgement on nations in accordance with His principles of righteousness. Millions of angels are at God's command. Angels keep in close and vital contact with all the events taking place on Earth. Their earthly knowledge exceeds that of men."

In RENEGADES a friend who is an Angel speaks to a disbelieving Alan;

"Listen carefully." she exclaims.

"Let me explain to you in terms you might better understand...You are viewing the world through an imperfect prism that reveals light as only a single band. You are unable to see the real full rainbow display...a splendid multitude of light in many colors... a full and complete spectrum. If you continue to recognize only one band of light Alan... you will remain forever blind to God and all things spiritual.

I am part of God's many colored spiritual world. I am fighting for the 'Good' Alan. I am your guardian angel. Can you Comprehend that?

Today 'Good' succumbed to the powers of Evil. A battle was lost. The world will not be the same. Please..wake up to the moment Alan. Be aware of the total world which surrounds you...not half of it. The Lord and His angels need you and your faith...We need your help now!"
