Teju Cole, geboren 1975, wuchs in Nigeria auf und kam als Jugendlicher in die USA. Er ist als Kunsthistoriker, Schriftsteller und Fotograf tätig und hat eine Stelle als Distinguished Writer in Residence am Bard College inne.
