While Holmes remains in London, Dr Watson travels to the moor to protect Sir Henry and report every clue.

What begins as a tale of superstition becomes a case of inheritance, identity and murder. Among the fog, the mire and the ruins of an old family history, Holmes and Watson must uncover whether the hound is a creature of legend - or the instrument of a very human crime.

The Hound of the Baskervilles is one of Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous works, blending the logic of the detective story with the suspense of the gothic novel. First serialised in 1901-1902 and published in book form in 1902, it is presented here as Volume 5 of The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection, arranged according to the order of original publication.
