Klappentext
With the advent of AI-powered legal platforms, and rapidly evolving client expectations, the billable hour is no longer the best means of charging for legal services. Instead, Value-Based Pricing - where clients can choose from different service levels to deliver the legal outcomes they desire - is the business model best placed for the current age. But what does Value-Based Pricing mean in reality?
In Ditch & Switch! former law firm CEO Shaun Jardine details 50 Value-Based Pricing Examples for Law Professionals. The 50 examples explore three options of service (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) for private client and commercial client lawyers, across a number of legal scenarios, including: Settlement agreements Child custody Unfair dismissal Property sales Workplace discrimination Supplier disputes Joint ventures Corporate governance Competition law and over 40 others
Ditch & Switch! is a standalone guide to the world of Value-Based Pricing for law professionals who want to see VBP in action, and is the follow-up to Ditch The Billable Hour! Implementing Value-Based Pricing in a Law Firm, which provided a comprehensive and detailed 400-page+ VBP implementation guide for law firm owners and partners.
About the author: Shaun Jardine is a solicitor (now non-practising) and former CEO of a top 250 law firm, and has a unique insight into what makes law firms tick. Shaun founded his consultancy business - Big Yellow Penguin - in 2021 with the aim of encouraging and helping lawyers and law firms to move on from the 20th century and adopt practices, including value-based pricing, to make their futures more secure, both financially and operationally, and enjoy practising their craft again.
Note: This book was originally published in the United Kingdom. Although some of the book's specifics relate to English law and terminology, the overall VBP themes and details are universal.
