Before 2010 it was known as Sport TV, but since then it was re-branded due to broadened format. The unitary enterprise All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (Russian: , Vserossiyskaya gosudarstvennaya televizionnaya i radioveshchatelnaya kompaniya, abbr. VGTRK) is a state-owned Russian television and radio company which owns several television and radio station. It was founded in 1990 in an effort to give the president of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, its own voice, independent of the Soviet channels.
