Raidel Poey Romero (born February 20, 1982 in Havana) is a volleyball player from Cuba, who plays in different positions. He was named Most Valuable Player at the 2005 NORCECA Championship in Winnipeg, Canada, where Cuba ended up in second place. The 2005 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 19th edition of the Men's Continental Volleyball Tournament, played by eight countries in the NORCECA zone, which encompasses North America, Central America and the Caribbean, from September 8 to September 16, 2005 in the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, (Canada). The winner qualified for the 2005 Men's Volleyball Grand Champions Cup in Japan from November 22 to November 27, a six-team tournament that featured the champions from four confederations (Africa, Europe, NORCECA and South America), the host team (Japan) and one wild-card team chosen by the FIVB.
