it is a reflection on home, belonging, change and identity, told through three interconnected chapters that follow my evolution from childhood to adolescence, from nature to the city, from the known to the unknown.

born in the wildis written in a free-verse style allowing for a fluid, intimate, and raw expression of emotion. the poems range from brief, fleeting thoughts to longer, more reflective pieces. across all three chapters, the collection weaves together themes of nature and identity (how landscapes shape us and stay within us ever after we leave), love and relationships (bonds with family, friends, and lovers, and how they evolve with time and distance), growth and change (the tension between holding onto the past and embracing the future), and, belonging and loss (the beauty of home and the ache of leaving it behind).
