Pix Pentham: The Songbird of Goldcrest, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

Finch never expected her life to get better after she burned down half of her orphanage's dormitory. That day marked the first of many in her new position as arguably the most powerful apprentice in the kingdom of Aurelia. Conrad, the Royal Court Mage and hand of King Suncrest, plucked her from the wreckage of her former life and transformed her station overnight. Suddenly she's neck-deep in court life, training to take Conrad's place someday while simultaneously making friends with young knight-to-be, Gareth. He teaches her to trust again, and the two strike up an innocent but steadfast romance.

When Gareth is promoted to squire, he and his fellows go off into the Wilds. There, Gareth survives events that change him, and his relationship with Finch, forever. In his absence, Crown Prince Salem steps into his shoes and fills the friend-shaped hole in Finch's heart. If he had his choice, he'd be everything Gareth was to her and more. Alas, the duty of his position gets in the way.

Years pass. Romance blooms between Apprentice Finch and a Nomadic Prince named Roan. And somewhere in the north, a demon wears away at the mind of a man. When it succeeds in crawling its way into his head, a shade is born. The sandglass of Aurelia's doom has been flipped.

Disease and death rampage across the land, driven like a herd of wild horses by the shade's horde of risen dead. If Aurelia is to be kept intact, the creature must be hunted down and destroyed. Desperate for a chance to prove himself, a task force headed by Prince Salem is sent to dispatch the evil being. It's a dangerous undertaking, but as long as Finch keeps her head on straight, there is a chance they'll all come out the other side.

The only problem with that? Fate has seen fit to make this mission the intersection of each of her life's romantic paths. Will Finch and the three men find equilibrium? Or will danger and tragedy part them before they have the chance?

The Songbird of Goldcrest is the first in the Kingdom of Aurelia Trilogy. This series is an slow-burn MMFM fantasy romance featuring a curvy female protagonist.
