Nicola Mullender: The Perfect Time Does Not Exist, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

Have you ever felt like you're not good enough? Like everyone else is more confident or further ahead than you?

Be honest. How many things have you talked yourself out of because you might get it wrong, look like an idiot or, heaven forbid, somebody might have an opinion?

How long are you planning to wait?

Until you're more confident? Less busy? More ready? Until life calms down and everything magically falls into place?

Good luck with that.

The Perfect Time Does Not Exist: Get On With It Anyway is straight-talking self-help about overthinking, procrastination, self-doubt, people-pleasing, comparison and all the excuses that sound perfectly reasonable while keeping you exactly where you are, withdry British humour and blunt honesty.

It's for anyone who has spent far too long thinking about doing something instead of actually getting on with it.

How much more time do you need? Another year? Five? Ten?

At what point are you going to admit you've thought about it enough?

You don't need to become a different person first. You don't need everyone else to approve. And you definitely don't need a divine sign from the universe.

What you need is to stop treating nerves like a stop sign, stop assuming everyone else knows what they're doing and stop waiting for confidence to turn up before you've even started.

This isn't about joining the 5 a. m. club, manifesting your dream life or shouting affirmations at your own face in the mirror.

There's a name for that.

No sugar-coating. No fluff. No pretending you haven't already wasted enough time.

The perfect time doesn't exist.

It's time to wake up and crack on.
