The International Panorama Council (IPC) is the global organization which deals with the history, the present and the future of the panorama phenomenon. Since its foundation in 1992 it has held annual conferences worldwide.More than Meets the Eye - The Magic of the Panorama is a publication of the International Panorama Council edited by Gabriele Koller. It includes essays by 29 authors who take a look at the panorama phenomenon from different angles and perspectives - all of them united by the fascination with the magic of the art form which offers more than meets the eye.

Biografie (Gabriele Koller)
Gabriele Koller studied History of Art in Munich, Germany and London, UK. She is an exhibition curator, author and researcher with interests in media art history and cultural history. Her MA thesis was devoted to Gebhard Fugel, the artist responsible for the Panorama of Jerusalem and the Crucifixion of Christ, Altötting, Germany. Since then she has published on various aspects of panorama history. From 1992 to 1995 she served as jury member for the restoration of the Feszty Panorama in Szeged, Hungary. For the International Panorama Council of which she is a member since its foundation in 1992 she edited The World of Panoramas: Ten Years of International Panorama Conferences (2003), The Panorama in the Old World and the New (2010), and most recently, More Than Meets the Eye: The Magic of the Panorama (2019). Since 2011 she serves as Chair of the Executive Board of the Foundation Panorama Altötting, Germany, and is the Panorama's Curator.Anmerkungen:
