Michael Trowbridge: Spirit Of The Village, Kartoniert / Broschiert

What if the Christmas village in your home were real? For more than thirty years, the Tisdale family has built their Christmas village one piece at a time. A library became a bakery. A bakery became a street. New houses appeared as the family grew, until an entire town covered the table each Christmas. To Mitch and Celina Tisdale, it was more than a holiday decoration. It was the story of their marriage, their six children, and a lifetime built together. Then Mitch dies unexpectedly. As Celina and her children struggle with the empty place he left behind, ten-year-old Oliver turns to the one thing that still feels connected to his father: their Christmas village. But something has changed. A mysterious green book appears among his father's things. The village lights seem different. Tiny details are no longer where Oliver remembers them. And when he begins looking closer, he discovers something impossible. The Tisdales may not have spent thirty years simply building a Christmas tradition. They may have been building a world. And that world is in trouble. As Christmas Eve approaches, Oliver discovers just how deeply his family is connected to the village and how much is at stake. The world his parents spent a lifetime creating is beginning to fall apart, and saving it will require more than Oliver can give on his own. Somehow, he must bring his grieving family together before they lose something none of them ever knew they had. Because if a lifetime of love can create a world, what happens to that world when one half of that love is gone? Love built a world. Grief could destroy it.
