Klappentext

Paris, at the end of the 19th century. When a cash courier is found hanged in the attic of the respected banking house Beaumont Frères, the police conclude that he has taken his own life and close the case. Years later, Maurice Beaumont, junior partner of the firm, disappears without a trace while travelling - another mystery that remains unsolved.

At around the same time as the courier's death, a rag-and-bone man is brutally murdered. The crime attracts little attention, yet it may hold the key to both mysteries.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson travel to Paris to investigate. Deep in the archives of the French police, they discover an overlooked clue that sends the master detective down an entirely new path. What connects the dead courier, the missing banker's son and the murdered rag-and-bone man?

Case 002: The Rag-and-Bone Man of Paris is a gripping Sherlock Holmes historical mystery set in 19th-century Paris, combining classic detective fiction, an intricate cold case and a trail of secrets that reaches far into the past.
