Manuel García: Unexpected Friends, Gebunden

Klappentext

Longing, in García's work, often lives beside another life: a fiancée, a future already planned, a hunger that chat rooms can no longer contain. These stories move through night streets, chance meetings, and the electric panic of wanting more than one man at once-seduction braided with fear, tenderness braided with appetite. In Unexpected Friends, a blind date at a late-night station becomes a third presence, a shared apartment, a film flickering while two mouths find each other first. He watches, then he cannot only watch.

What follows is not spectacle so much as initiation: patience where there might have been force, care where there might have been only heat. Bodies learn one another in layers-mouth, then trust, then the startling mercy of being held through the first ache. By morning the numbers are lost, the night is not. Some friendships last an hour and still rearrange a man forever.
