Beginning in 1933, the Eranos conferences in Ascona, Switzerland have brought together some of the world's leading thinkers to give lectures on a wide range of topics in the humanities and sciences, particularly religion, mysticism, the occult, psychology, and the archetypes. Jung, Max Knoll, Louis Massignon, Erich Neumann, Helmuth Plessner, Adolf Portmann, Henri-Charles Puech, Gilles Quispel, G. van der Leeuw, and Hellmut Wilhelm.
