Biografie
Kate Walbert studierte Kommunikationswissenschaften in New York. Sie veröffentlichte zahlreiche Kurzgeschichten, u.a. in "The Paris Review" und "The New York Times" und wurde mit dem Pushcart Prize ausgezeichnet. Ihre erste Storysammlung "Where she Went" stand auf der Liste der "New York Times Notable Books of 1998". Die Autorin unterrichtet an der Yale University und lebt in New York und Connecticut. Als Kind verbrachte sie ein Jahr mit ihrer Familie in Kioto, und ihre Erlebnisse in Japan haben sie nachhaltig beeinflusst. §
