Jade Armstrong: Magical Girl Burnout, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

In this hilarious graphic novel about teenage burnout, witness a team of "Magical Girls" who are short-staffed and underpaid, and struggling to balance their normal lives with their jobs as heroes.

Magical Girls Rox, Piper, and Snips are the protectors of love, justice and...
...the local community fridge, the abandoned mall, the eerie pool, the struggling fruit stand, the hipster music shop, and every other place in the town that gets attacked by The Forces of Evil. This leaves our trio of teens very little time for normal high school stuff. Worse yet, there are no temps and no time off, resulting in missed classes, getting sick, and skipping anime club AGAIN. Work / life balance anyone???

When Snips finally gets fed up and quits the team to pursue greater opportunities (like getting a job that ACTUALLY pays money), the remainder of the group is sent into turmoil. Rox is overwrought and overworked, Piper's immune system and emotional stability takes a tumble, and assistant-manager Shoya is barely able to pick up the slack. SURELY there's a better way to protect the town of Pumpkin Hill right? Because these burned-out teens aren't gonna be able to hold on much longer.
