I not only share my own experience as a survivor, but also give a voice to family members and medical professionals. Every perspective and every diagnostic skill is critical to recognizing this silent danger. Education and understanding can save lives and prevent worse.
My book is more than my personal story of facing the life-threatening challenge of sepsis at 1800 meters in the Swiss Alps in August 2021, which abruptly ended my dream of working on an alpine pasture.
