Klappentext
In From the Early Years of the Royal Treasure Archive of Esädana-Nibru , Hanan Abd Alhamza Alessawe publishes 33 new administrative documents from the Treasure Archive of Esädana-Nibru, modern-day Drehem, dated to the time of King Shulgi. The tablets are part of a collection that arrived at the Iraq Museum in 2021. The new texts significantly expand our knowledge concerning workshops, material culture, gift-giving practices, and individuals at the royal court of the Third Dynasty of Ur. The editions offer a transliteration with English and Arabic translations and a concise commentary. This volume marks the launch of the publication series of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities project Cuneiform Artefacts of Iraq in Context (CAIC) , which is dedicated to the edition of cuneiform artefacts preserved at the Iraq Museum in Baghdad.
