George Gurdjieff: Meetings With Remarkable Men, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

An adventure story replete with ancient texts, hidden monasteries, occult orders and lost civilizations, "Meetings With Remarkable Men" is Georgi Gurdjieff's account of his early life, his travels and explorations in the Caucasus and Central Asia, and the strange and mysterious characters he met in those wild and mostly unexplored territories. But the book is far more than a simple tale of derring-do. Gurdjieff uses each of the remarkable characters he meets to illustrate at least one major point in his spiritual teachings - a philosophy that blossomed with his establishment of the Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man, and which continues in one form or another to this day. Long regarded as a 'classic', "Meetings With Remarkable Men" , is essential reading for those wishing to understand the complex character of Georgi Gurdjieff and his insights into the spiritual development of humanity.
